OHCDS MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
VENUE: Twin Ponds Golf Club
TIME: Cocktails at 5:30, dinner at 6PM.
SPEAKER: Mr. Joseph A. Costa
SEMINAR: 6:30 – 9:15PM
TOPIC: Cranial Nerve Pathology
This presentation will provide a basic working knowledge of cranial nerve dysfunction. While it may seem that the cranial nerves operate in isolation from each other, these twelve nerves comprise an interconnected and interdependent system. As a result, their neuropathology is complex and sometimes difficult to interpret.
This talk will serve both as a brief review of cranial functions, and an examination of the causes and symptoms of a variety of conditions. The material will address illnesses relevant to the nerves of the oral cavity, and it will also explore other regions of the head, including the brain. The goal of this lecture is for attending clinicians to be able to more readily identify a broad array of ailments and thus guide their patients to relevant specialists.
