Volunteers are Needed for a Special Olympics – Special Smiles Bocce Tournament Saturday, September 9.
There will be approximately 150 special athletes participating in a regional bocce event at the Toccolana Bocce Club, 1412 E. Dominick Street, Rome, New York.
Volunteers will be providing cursory dental exams and teaching oral hygiene to the special athletes.
We need dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, dental residents and hygiene students. Feel comfortable to bring additional colleagues, spouses or your children to help and to get into the spirit of helping and reaching out. There is a need for all of us to work together and have fun. These athletes are really special!!
Please contact Bruce H. Seidberg, DDS, JD, Central NY Clinical Director, Special Smiles, (315) 453-3636, or email me at email@example.com to add your name to the list of volunteers and identify your dental position. I do need your response ASAP.
For those of you who can come early, please report to the registration tent between 8:30 to 9:00 AM. I will be there at 8:30; we will have to set up our tent and supplies. For those of you who have to come later, just come to the Special Smiles Tent and we’ll get you registered. Lunch will be provided for those who can stay. We will be finished by 1:30 – 2:00 PM.
Thanks for volunteering!
