Any dentist authorized to practice in New York State can become a member of the Fifth District Dental Society. Upon acceptance you will automatically become a member of the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. We actively service the needs of all dental professionals in the following specialties: general practice, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral pathology, and public health. If you would like to become a member of the Fifth District Dental Society, simply contact our office at 315-434-9161 for a membership application.
Membership Benefits
Members of the Fifth District Dental Society are entitled to certain benefits. A few of the benefits follows:
ADA, NYSDA and FDDS Publications - including access to a multitude of dental related information via the Members Only sections of each association's website.
ADA, NYSDA and FDDS Sponsored Insurance Programs
Admission to national, state and local dental meetings and CE programs at member rates.
Contract Analysis Service - a service offered through NYSDA helping you understand the potential risks and benefits of participating provider agreements you may be considering.
Peer Review - a confidential program providing impartial evaluations of treatment, free of charge to members and their patients.
Third Party Dispute Resolution Process - a free service for members that helps patients obtain benefits they are entitled to under the terms of their dental plans.
Assistance for Chemically Dependent Dentists - NYSDA volunteers confidentially provide appropriate referrals for the treatment of chemically-dependant dentists.

American Red Cross: CPR courses are offered for members of the Fifth District and their staff at a 10% discount.
Envirotech of America: Dental waste management and services.
Fortress Insurance Company: Professional liability insurance. “A” rated carrier. Dentist owned and operated. Dental Professional Liability is their only business.
MBNA Credit Card: Personal Credit Card and other line of credit services from MBNA America Bank. No annual fee, low interest rates, and additional travel and business related discounts.
MLMIC (Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company): Low premiums offered by MLMIC, which are further reduced if, a) risk management course is completed, b) you are less than ten years out of dental school, or c) you are a part-time practitioner.
Sky Financial Solutions: an endorsed program by the state and the district offering practice loans. Sky Financial Solutions specializes in health care professional financing. Easy phone applications and same day approvals are some of the offerings.
Health Insurance: Support Services Alliance (SSA) is endorsed by the Fifth District and offers health insurance programs for the dental practice.
DDS Front Office Patient Communication Materials: Through Mohawk Dental Supply the members of the Fifth District are offered a discount on a patient correspondence materials.
Choice One Communications: A business telecommunications company offering local, long distance, voice messaging, internet service, web hosting and web design offering discounted rates to the members of the Fifth District.
Hurbson Workplace Furnishings and Business Controls Company: Fifth District members receive discounts of 10% on office furniture, filing hardware systems, and related support material.
